Christina Lauder Portraits

After some considerable thought and research I have finally come up with a way for me to be happy offering unframed prints and digital files and in doing so decided to revise my entire price list. I now have gorgeous print boxes and USB drives as packages on offer and can't wait to start selling them. Our print packages start at just £295 . All our prints are professionally printed on fine art paper which give a classic look and feel that make my style of portraits really look stunning. They are mounted using only conservation grade materials to unsure that they last a lifetime with no discolouring to the mount boards over time. Above is an example of our luxury archival boxes which we use for all print packages that contain 10 or more prints. These acid free boxes are designed to safely store photographic prints. With these new changes taking place I thought this would be as good a time as any to run a very limited offer which I will carry over until Christmas this year....

I love getting the chance to see the work I sell actually hanging on someone's wall.  And last week I had that chance.  It was after seeing them for their second visit with us that I mentioned I'd love to see it.  So I was invited to come over and I'm so glad.  I think it looks wonderful on their wall and fits perfectly into their home.  Amazingly, this portrait is actually one of our extra large framed prints which many people find just that bit too large.  Here though I couldn't imagine anything any smaller as it would simply be lost in that fab brick wall.  I just loved their home.  Its perfect as far as I'm concerned and just the sort of thing I would love if I could design my own home.  Its so unusual and spacious and clutter free, not to mention a great space for entertaining.  And I've only shown a fraction of this living space.  Something I'd like to point out here is the fact that this framed portrait shows little...

In searching for a dark wood moulding for a client a while back I came across one I loved but have waited until I had the perfect image for it before I used it.  And finally I found one.  Amazingly, although somewhat intentionally, its of my daughter.  I have been trying for years (since I began really) to produce an image of her I loved which could be used as a sample in my studio.  I am so pleased with the image and seeing the finished product presented this way has been wonderful.  I regularly stop and stare at it hanging on my wall.  Its everything I wanted it to be and is going to be a cherished item for me for the rest of my life.  She has been taking dance lessons since she was 2 (she is now 8) and its something she loves more than anything.  My framer, Jo from The Frame Game , did a fantastic job as she always does.  Her attention to detail is superb.  And the mix of fine art print and thick conservation grade double...

It was my pleasure this weekend to present an order to one of my clients. Their order included 2 extra large frames of two images I really loved. And it was an extra pleasure to be invited over to see them hanging on their wall (which incidently was a job completed the very same evening they took the frames home, something I'd struggle to get my husband to do). I was thrilled to see the portraits hanging on the wall, looking so prominent and as though the room was designed around them.  Especially in such a lovely home as this. Their home is gorgeous, and nothing out of place.  I can only dream of such a home, but then again, their child is still a baby.  It could all change.  This is exactly how I have always intended my work to be displayed. It made me very proud. I hope to have the honour of being able to do this more often with my clients. I can feel a collection coming on.

I often get asked this question.  And it is always followed by a lengthly discussion on the differences. Because there is a reason I charge more, for the same reason that a Mercedes costs more than a Ford and a Sony costs more than a Sharp. First, all our portraits are custom framed using high end mouldings.  We use conservation grade mount board which protect your portraits as well as high quality low reflection glass which provide a truer colour rendition so the images look more vibrant and true to life without much of the annoying reflections of standard glass. This quality goes beyond the products but into our service as well.  To start with we offer free, no obligation consultations to anyone considering booking a session with us.  During this meeting we sit and have a chat over a coffee giving us the chance to get to know each other as well as giving our prospective clients an opportunity to see the work we do in person.  ...

I am pleased to announce the introduction of 2 of our new products.  The first is one I've already been selling, however it now has a twist.  We now frame our canvases which I find give them a much more luxurious and eye catching finish.  In fact, it makes them look more like a finished article.    We use a very chunky frame moulding, 6cm square, which fits around our chunky canvases perfectly.  I'm looking forward to getting one for my own home myself.  Just waiting for that perfect image of my children first.  Unfortunately photographer's children are the worst to photograph.  Ask any photographer who they least enjoy photographing and they will likely tell you its their own children.  The other new product is our Accordian Keepsakes.  I came across them at a convention earlier in the year.  I knew as soon as I saw them that I wanted to offer them to my clients.  I've finally got around to c...

I have been meaning to do this for ages but as there was no pressing need for it I have been putting it off, saying 'I'll have to remember to do that next week'. Well with the kids back at school and a little more time on my hands I thought it was about time I finally did what I said I was going to. Although I still have more to do, at least now I have something to show you all so you can see a little of what you can get by coming to us for your portraits. First we have our framed products. We have two ways of framing, one we call standard and the other premium. The difference between the two is in the size and finish of the moulding as well as in the way in which we mount the photos within the frame.
