We're Proud to Announce the Launch of Our New Website!!

I have spent the past several months being disappointed with our existing site. It did the job for a while and at the time was certainly the only site I could fathom owning. But things have moved on, as they always do and I was in need of something new. What that was, I wasn't too sure. I knew it was out there though so I went searching.

This January, at the SWPP convention I found exactly what I wanted. So I spent the past several weeks building up the trial version, making it just right. I went through old portraits choosing only my favourites and then spent time preparing favourites from many of my recent sittings. We will be updating this site on a regularl basis, along with my blog which was a new years resolution which so far I have kept. So please keep checking back with us to see whats new. In fact you may want to sign up as a follower of this blog.
Now with our new website and new studio it is only appropriate that we include a promotion. So for all sessions booked before the end of the month (March 31st, 2010) we will be offering a 25% discount on all our products and including the sitting for free.

I Shot My First Wedding

I finally did it, my first wedding. After years of saying I would never do a wedding I finally decided to have a go. I don't know what convinced me. Maybe it was the thought that if I did one I could say with authority that I don't do weddings. My husband had been on my back for ages trying to get me to give one a go. London in Spring, Whats Not to Love?

Well I know there is still a lot not to love but I'm choosing to see the great things about London at the moment. I am having a ball this year visiting London as often as I can. Which is unusual for me since I usually prefer the comfort of my own home, in rural old Leicestershire. Staying home and avoiding people has always been the easy option. Its a Dog's Life

When life gets tough I always look at dogs or my cats and think how lucky they are. I know not all are treated well but those lucky enough to be in a good home, like the ones who come into my studio, have a really great life. They look so happy and its a wonderful thing to see. I honestly love photographing dogs. They are a joy to work with and its almost impossible to produce a bad portrait of a dog which does of course make my life a little easier. I am someone who really needs to love the work I create. I can't help but love the portraits I've created of all the dogs I've photographed over the years. And this shoot was certainly no exception. I found it a real pleasure using a lighter background this time too. I do often gravitate towards darker looks but seeing as this dog had a light coloured coat I thought I'd produce lighter images.
